great by most standards all year with Marlin
caught every month.
June- November (22-28 Degrees)
Port Vila is situated 17 Degrees South of
the Equator and receives the South East
trade winds in the “winter”. Average sea
conditions this time of year would include
15-20 knot winds with moderate seas.
This time of year is renowned for Blue
Marlin, (Black and Striped Marlin with
limited numbers being caught), Mahi Mahi,
Yellow Fin Tuna and Wahoo. (October-November
this year saw a run of large blue marlin 600
to700lbs with several being captured and
tagged by V-Factor and several others by the
rest of the charter fleet)
December-February (25-33 Degrees)
Known for Marlin and Yellow Fin although
this time of year is generally hot and humid
sometimes the fishing is outstanding in
often very calm conditions. This time of
year is off peak (tourist wise) and some
